Ember Escapes Redefines Off-Site Work and Meetings

Author: Ember Escapes

Ember, international experts in producing memorable meetings with transformative outcomes today announces the launch of Ember Escapes, gathering destinations built to ignite professionals’ creative fire.  The first property, Quietude, is an exclusive mountain retreat in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire scheduled to open for off-site meetings, team building, corporate retreats, and remote work-from-home.

A 2021 McKinsey survey of 100 executives across industries and geographies confirms that in the post-pandemic future of work, 90 percent of organizations will be combining remote and on-site working. While the hybrid model is a necessity for retention, working remotely leaves employees disconnected and hesitant about the company's future.

Ember Escapes is designed specifically to reset isolated work environments and capture the benefits of in-person creativity. Executive leaders and managers who embrace the new work dynamic no longer consider destination gatherings a luxury offering but essential to the alignment of employees' cultural connection and company success.  New interactive experiences at offsite gatherings can balance remote operations, build trust, and solidify the future brand.

“The Pandemic gave employees the flexibility to work from home and now with the pressure to meet labor market demands companies are moving to a hybrid model,” said Kathy DelMedico, Owner & President, Ember and Co-Founder, Ember Escapes.

“What our clients have learned over the past two years is just how important human connection is for team building and sustaining long-term business goals, '' said Chris Gasbarro, Owner & VP of Strategy, Ember and Co-Founder, Ember Escapes. So, we combined Ember’s expertise in producing business events with the physical design of Ember Escapes to give companies meaningful experiences that will accomplish more in 3 days than 6 months of on-screen meetings.”

Quietude surrounded by 60 private acres, was valued at 1.2 million dollars prior to renovations and with only three previous owners, many of the turn-of-the-century design elements remain from famed Castle in the Clouds architect J. Williams Beal. The property is a 1904 Adirondack Lodge near the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee located in the foothills of the White Mountains.

The estate will continue to reflect the peacefulness of its name while adding modern comfort updates and contemporary interior design. Quietude will accommodate up to 13 overnight guests with meeting spaces indoors and out for 20+. Ember’s leadership is personally taking on many of the renovation projects, creating special gathering spaces to inspire new thinking:  large outdoor meeting platforms under towering pines, hidden fire pits, direct access to trout fishing, and plentiful seating to assemble by the library hearth.

Ember Escapes is now accepting July bookings at Quietude in the Lakes Region, New Hampshire for summer 2022 and beyond. Each gathering at Ember Escapes can be planned independently or customized with options curated by Ember.
